Now that restaurants and bars and offices have started to open up, I wanted to share with you this Instagram live from a few weeks ago with Amanda Thebe from Fit n’ Chips. A couple of months ago, Amanda caught Covid-19, and she’s here to share her journey with us.
For those who do not know who she is, Amanda Thebe is a personal trainer, specialising in strength training. She focuses on the importance of building bone density during menopause. “Amanda Thebe is a force of nature for women who are experiencing menopause hell and want to start feeling healthy and fit in their 40s and beyond.”
During this video she was 14-weeks of coronavirus recovery. She says how the virus does not discriminate- it doesn’t matter who you are, how rich, what race, gender, sexuality. Anyone can catch it.
Importance of fitness
Amanda is lucky that she was very physically healthy when the virus hit her- she believes this was one of the reasons she survived it. Other than the virus affecting her physically, she also talks about how it affected her mentally. This is a reminder of how important it still is to socially distance, and to wear your masks!
Wear a mask!
Reminder- Since July 24th, it is compulsory to wear your masks on public transport, in shops, restaurants etc in the UK.
